This is from an even earlier era of the older model, before the logo was added to the box. I believe this is quite valuable.
The wood type is olive, and while it doesn't have the flamboyant figure of burl, it has a beautiful grain.
The lead diameter is 0.5mm, and it is compatible with Pentel Stein leads and internal mechanisms/pen tips.
It has the characteristic Pentel writing feel, with added rigidity.
The original grip, made from solid stock, has a comfortable thickness and grooved design, making it less tiring to write with for extended periods.
